C’mon 2020

It’s New Years Eve, and not only are we saying goodbye to another year, but we are saying goodbye to an entire decade! I can’t believe how fast 2019 flew by! With 2019 coming to a close it got me thinking about the upcoming year and things I would like to work on in my life, and routines I’d like to start and habits I’d like to break. This also made me start thinking about inspiration, and what I draw inspiration from.

What inspires you? Where do you draw inspiration from?

One of the things I love doing is watching videos of my favorite christian speakers and listening to worship music. It puts me in a zone where I crave reading my bible, and spending time with God.

I wanted to share with you some of the habits that I’d like to break, and some of the daily routines I plan to implement in my life in 2020.

Here we go…

  • Pray More

  • Get physically, spiritually, and financially healthy

  • Get out of my comfort zone

  • Get organized

  • Time Management

Pray More

This. I need to work on praying all.the.time. Not just when I have time, or when I am in trouble. I want to make it a priority this year to spend intentional time with God when I first wake up in the morning, and before I go to bed every night.

Get physically, spiritually, and financially healthy

This year I want to start running. I’ve always hated running. In fact, typing this I’m actually starting to have second thoughts. I want to get healthy for my family. For my kids and for my Husband. I also want to work on budgeting and sticking to it. I want to stop spending on unnecessary things, and I want to teach my children healthy money management. I also want to remain spiritually healthy. I want to be active in a church, I want to read my bible daily, I want to pray often and I want to be a light for Jesus in this world.

Get out of my comfort zone

I don’t like speaking in front of large groups, and I don’t like being on camera…those are some of the things I hope to change this upcoming year through this website!

Get Organized

I need organization! Anyone else? This year I want to work on using a planner and actually USING IT!

Time Management

This somewhat falls under the “Get Organized” category as well. I want to set aside a day of the week where I plan out the week ahead. I want to have the bills planned out, the meals planned out and the kids schedules all planned out before the week starts so that my time is managed well.

I usually wouldn’t just lay that all out there, but I think it’s important to have accountability. What are some of the things you want to work on in 2020? I would love to hear them!!
