Heavenly Perspective

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him.  The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them.  People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1 Samuel 16:7

Did you know that God see’s us from a heavenly perspective? Yes, of course he is able to see all of our flaws, shortcomings, failures and sins, but he’s also able to see into our heart.  God is able to look within us and see our intentions and motives. Have you ever tried to see others the way that God does?  There is not a person in this world that God doesn’t love or desire a relationship with, and I feel like that is important to remember. 

God wants us to be able to see the hearts of those around us.  He wants us to be loving, compassionate and empathetic to those we encounter, not just so they are able to feel the  love of Jesus through us, but so that maybe, just maybe, our kindness can begin to change their hearts. 

Ask God to allow you to see others the way He does.

Others will find Him through you if you love them with His love.
