Let me introduce myself…
Think back to the day you accepted Jesus Christ into your heart, how did it feel? The moment you said “Yes!” to Jesus, it was almost like you were given a new heart - a heart that will be easily convicted of wrong doings, and that will find joy in responding to situations and scenarios where you feel God leading you.
The moment you said “Yes!” to Jesus you became set apart to love and serve God in this world. God has given us the ability to help others see Him by the way we live our lives. Have you ever taken the time to think about this, and exactly what it means? The influence that God has given us will reach its fullest potential when we pursue Him with our whole heart by spending time with Him and by including him in every aspect of our lives.
Take a few minutes and imagine you are at the grocery store and you see someone arguing with the cashier because something did not ring up correctly, you notice they are wearing a shirt with a cross on it, how does that make you feel? What thoughts come to your mind? What kind of impression does this give you? What kind of impression you think that gives those who are still not sure if they want to have a relationship with Jesus?
When we said “yes” to Jesus it became our responsibility to show Jesus to this world. We all have bad days, and I’m definitely not trying to say that people who love Jesus have it all together all the time, because we don’t (especially me!). We do, however, need to remain conscious of the way we act and speak, and make sure that it’s leading people to Christ and not away from Him.
