Faith is a journey…
You’ve probably noticed that at the bottom of every page on my site it says, “Faith is a journey, not a destination”, but have you taken the time to reflect on what that means?
When you say “yes” to Jesus, it doesn’t mean that our life is going to be perfect, easy, and without suffering. It simply means that we are living our life for something greater than us, and that we believe in something bigger than us. God uses our suffering and hardships to prune us. It’s in those times when you feel like everything is falling apart, that God is working on your character and shaping you into the person He has called you to be. Every single person God has used to accomplish great things has gone through seasons in the wilderness. They’ve probably even questioned where God was. We need to remember that the process is often more important than the end result.
God isn’t finished with us yet and I hope you can find peace with that. When people say, “Faith is a journey, not a destination” they mean that we are all going through an infinite process of being perfected in Christ. There may be times where you don’t see God moving in your life, and you feel like your life is at a standstill. Don’t panic. He may be preparing your heart for something that is going to happen in the future. God is always at work in our lives, and just because we can’t see the end result, we need to relax and find comfort that God does. That situation you are going through that seems impossible? God already knows how it turns out, so stop stressing.
I pray that God gives you renewed joy in your journey, and you are able to find contentment in whatever it is that you are going through. God started the good work in You, and He will finish it.
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
